Does qualifying for WIC qualify me for a student financial aid deferment?
They do not look at whether or not you get WIC to get a deferment. You need to contact who holds your student loans and ask them for one. For me it was ACS. You may be required to prove your current income situation but in my situation all I had to do was to fill out a form to fax back in. Another thing you can do is just take cles online and get a pell grant to pay for them. While your in school your loans automatically go into deferment. Once you stop attending you get a year before you have to start paying on them. You could just take a semester of easy cles online that's also one option I used a few years ago. Depending on your situation you may qualify for a 6 month to a full year of deferment. You can also contact your schools financial aid department to get further istance.
