Where can I find local Wiccans/Covens?

First and foremost, I'm new to this. I pretty much know nothing, because I've taken everything I've read on the 'net with a grain of salt. Besides, I'm the type of person that can't get a feel for something when I research it by myself. I'm looking for a mentor of sorts, or maybe a coven that'll take me in as their own. I live in Houston, by the way. Please contact me if you can help. One of the sites most recommended to me is Witchvox. But Witchvox has a ridiculous policy, and I don't want to register if I know I can't follow it. Also; all the posts there seem like they're from years/months back. Most of the websites I've seen, I can't seem to take seriously. Maybe it's poor design and presentation, or maybe it's because everyone is like 14-17 and types horribly. Or mandatory 21 and for people who want to become clergy. I'm just looking for a small close knit group of people who share a faith. I know Houston is big. That's why it's hard for me to find stuff. I don't have -transportation-. And I don't think my xenophobic father would approve of my religious interests.
