Is calling the cops the right thing to do if there is a problem again?

The name of the game is dealing with drunks. She was still drunk when she gave you all that threatening crap too--which was to soothe her ego. If you are threatened don't hesitate to call the police. However, don't build it up into a grudge. They probably forgot all about it. Don't take it personally. They are paying guests and your object should be to get through it with the minimal disturbance. If they are gone to their rooms when the police arrive, the police will probably be satisfied that justice is served.
