Do you think women should refrain from telling their husbands they got their period?

I think its inappropriate and she should respect that her husband as a man doesnt want to hear those things.Theres this guy who I work with who got a text from his wife asking him to bring their housekey to her workplace cause she had period cramps and needed to go home so he left work,walked her right home,bought her chocolate and let her sit in his reclining armchair and watch tv,I think she is milking it for all she can get,do women exagerate their periods just to get sympathy of their husbands and use it as an excuse to be snappy and rude to their men??
