Is it not possible that both theists and atheists are wrong?

we know next to nothing about the universe. the knowledge we have about it is but a drop of water in the ocean. can there not be answers as to the creation and workings of the universe that we cannot comprehend because we have no relative ideas to compare them to? Is not the universe too complex to have happened by accident? Is not the universe too flawed to be created from perfection? but then again, what is flaw and what is perfection? Would we know flaw if all was perfect and would we know perfection if all was flawed?
